Lets start out with a big Warning. The Do Not Accept Cash! The inside is filled with delicious looking treats. There seemed to be about 50 things to Choose from.
I chose an Ellie which is a vanilla mousse, cinnamon apple compote, brown sugar cake, caramel glaze, coconut struesel. I also got a Brownie, and a Pumpkin Cheesecake, and a Passion Fruit Egg Tart. I also got a Pumpkin Pie Slice. Everything was pricey at about $7 a piece. My favorite thing was the Pumpkin Cheesecake cake. It was the perfect combination of cheesecake and pumpkin flavor. Very rich, but worth it. My next favorite was the Pumpkin Pie. I'm a huge fan of pumpkin pie and this was in my top 10. Next was the Passion Fruit Egg Tart. I wanted an egg tart it's actually why I stopped here. The Passion Fruit was good it just became too much after a few bites. I really wish they'd had just a plain egg tart. Next up was the brownie. To me it was only okay. To be fair I prefer a cake like brownies vs fudge type, and this was fudge type. If you prefer fudge type you'd probably love this. Lastly was the Ellis, while visually a beautiful dessert, it lacked something for me in taste.
The staff was very friendly and efficient.
Overall for me I can only give it a 3 stars. I would only want to get 2 out of these 5 again. I would have love some choice when it came to egg tarts. It was extremely pricey, maybe not fir Chicago, I don't know. Lastly the whole not accepting cash is just tacky. Would I return? Sadly no.

It was my first time ordering from them. And I have to say that they did a beyond awesome job with my daughter's custom 1st birthday cake. There wasn't one thing that I disliked about my order and how it came out. They did even a better job than the picture I sent them. And it also tasted delicious. They're definitely making all our cakes from now on. Thank you for the job well done 👏🏽 ❤.

First time tried this place, was here on a Sunday afternoon and there was not much options available to select from. We tried 2 different pastries, both were good and perfect sweetness. Servers are friendly and place is clean.

I've always bragged about Vanille as the spot for my fav macaroon fix. The hubs periodically gifts me a dozen and did so for my birthday a few days ago. I, of course, ate a couple right away and the macaroons were surprisingly not fresh (already dry) and most lacked an appropriate amount of filling. At $40 (!!!) a dozen I expect better!

First off, I used to come here all the time. They are very expensive, but so worth it for the once amazing macarons.
Now, I just spent $89 here and I am extremely disappointed with the macarons. The coconut macarons used to be my favorite. They used to be nice and filled and crunchy and soft. They were everything you'd want. Well, this time I looked at them and I told the cashier to pick me the macarons with the most filling because they were obviously lacking. As she was literally just grabbing from the front one by one, I had to tell her not this one, that one. More than once. Not just the coconut ones, but all of them. They were hardly filled. And for the amount I paid, they have lost the quality that they once had.
I also should note that the employee who helped me wasn't exactly the nicest. She didn't greet me and she did not make any conversation. It was all business and straight to the point. I don't know if I will be back to be honest. I come from Milwaukee just for these and I might have to find somewhere else to go if this is how they will be. Nearly $100 for 24 macarons and 1 tart is insane for this quality.
