It was an absolute pleasure working with Peter and his team for our engagement and wedding photos. We researched many wedding photographers before stumbling upon Peter’s portfolio and we are so happy with our decision to book with him. He took the time to meet with us prior to booking to discuss what we were looking for in a wedding photographer and was upfront about pricing, needing a second-shooter, and day-of schedule. Peter made our engagement photo session so much fun and found so many creative angles and backdrops for our photos. His photos are the perfect mix of candid and posed, and they all capture every moment beautifully. He was understanding of our decision to reschedule our wedding due to Covid, and actively worked with us in order to find a new date that worked for both of us. Throughout the entire process, Peter checked in frequently, was able to answer all of our questions, and gave honest suggestions. We had a traditional, Polish wedding and Peter understood the importance of capturing all of the details that were so important for us to remember. We received our photos about a month after our wedding and could not be happier with all of them! We booked Peter’s company, Red+Olive, for videography and loved working with them as well. Peter takes great pride in his work and we are so thrilled that he gave us such beautiful wedding photos that we will treasure for a lifetime!

Peter is an absolute expert. From engagement photos to wedding photos and video, we are SO happy we chose to work with him. Peter has a special gift for capturing each moment of the day. His photos captured our love, family, and story in a way we couldn't have imagined. He built a relationship with us and our families that created such an ease and comfort throughout the entire day. He had great ideas and recommendations for parts of the day far beyond our photos. He gave us recommendations for the DJ, timeline of the day, and other decisions we made for the day. During the planning process, Peter was always flexible and super responsive. He made us feel totally prepared for the day. We will forever cherish the photos from our wedding that Peter captured. They bring back so many happy moments and memories for us and our families and friends. His video company, Red and Olive is also astounding. The video they created took our breath away. We rewatch it all the time. Of all the decisions we made when planning our wedding, the investment we most value is our choice to hire Peter to capture our wedding day.

We were referred to Peter by a number of extremely enthusiastic brides who chose him for their engagement photos, and knew he would be a great fit to tell our story not only from the unique images on his website (which I spent hours looking at before signing with him), but from the way he made us feel comfortable almost instantly. He took time to get to know us before our engagement photos and made sure to capture us in ways that involved less posing/forced PDA, and more just having fun and being "us."
We kept in touch with Peter over the course of the year and a half between our engagement session and wedding - he asked for life updates on our move to another city, and taco place recommendations. Since I opted not to hire a planner, it was amazing to have someone that we could count on in the midst of the uncertainty of planning other parts of the day.
Then it came time for Peter and his second photographer, Blue (amazing!), to get to know our rather rambunctious wedding party as we got ready and shot pre-ceremony photos in several locations around Chicago on our Big Day. They exercised patience and professionalism as they kept me calm and the rest of us organized and on time. They also maintained a great spirit of fun and produced artistic, full of life images that continue to help us relive the best day of our lives.
Based on the product alone I could not recommend Peter enough, but I'm happy to now call him a friend in Chicago!

You spend a lot of time with your photographer on your wedding day. You need to pick someone who is not only a creative genius but someone you and your husband/ wife/ fiancé/ partner enjoy being around for 8+ hours on one of the most important days of your life…You need to pick Peter! We had a massive (450 people) Chicago winter wedding and a large (22 people) bridal party. Peter handled the people and the elements with ease. I was stressed about timing and logistics of moving that many people to capture the perfect shots. He helped me set realistic expectations and fine tune logistics and timelines for our big day. He made the experience enjoyable. Peter is also a respected professional in the Chicago wedding industry who knew and had a great working relationship with a few of our other vendors. This is an often overlooked benefit to have a cohesive day of team. Prior to our wedding, Peter took the time to get to know me and my fiancé. He never forced us to do any cheesy posed photos and even gave my fiancé a pep talk to help him relax during our engagement shoot. His photography, style and personality cannot be matched. He is hands down the best option for you Chicagoland wedding!
