I had the most amazing time at Lorien! This was my second stop after I went to another salon where I was told that since I wasn’t a bridal sample size, they only had one dress for me to try on and that my budget would make dress shopping near impossible.
I could not have had a different experience at Lorien. Amanda was so, so kind when I rescheduled after I caught COVID and was welcoming when I finally got to go to my appointment.
The salon is totally cute and nerdy, but you totally don’t need to be in geeky culture to find your dream dress.
This salon has fashions for everyone - super formal, regal gowns and colorful, bright pieces that give off a unique pop of fun. Amanda sources dresses for all senses of style, which I think is kind of a rare skill to find.
Also, Lorien is a very inclusive salon. Besides sizes, little things like a mason jar of tampons in the bathroom just gives off a very supportive, welcoming vibe.
I found my dream dress - first one I tried on at the salon! I tried on eight more because they were so beautiful. The pictures below aren’t the one I ended up picking, but honestly, there’s no wrong answer with these gowns.

Amanda has created an amazing one of a kind space for brides looking for a special one of kind looks. I came in thinking they specialized in whimsical dresses but had no idea how cute and magical it was! Not only fun bridal but fantasy galore! Amanda is the owner and takes care to listen to each of her brides. She really brought dresses that fit my hopes, budget, and timeline. All the dresses were beautiful and she was so helpful in making sure we could see it in all lights and even look it up online after to make sure it was what i really wanted. She is amazing, so don’t second guess it. Book an appointment feel bridal, geek out, and look for your Hermione Yule ball moment ;)

Lorien Bridal Boutique is honestly such an amazing place to shop for a wedding gown. Amanda, the owner, is so great at her job and you can tell she genuinely loves doing it.
I was first drawn to Lorien because it was a small business that catered to a whimsical and alternative kind of bride who wasn't just one shape. So if that's what you are GO HERE! I had no interest in going to a trendy place BHLDN or some big store chain like David's Bridal so I did some research into smaller, boutique shops. When I found Lorien it looked like such a fun shopping experience. I was able to reach out to Amanda and book an appointment pretty quickly. When I arrived she asked me several questions about what I was looking for and what my budget was and even though I had several ideas of what I wanted I wasn't really that sure yet. I really wanted to try on all of the styles and boy did I. She invited me to look through the collection of dresses she had on the floor while she went to work to find ones that she thought I might like based on what I told her. I tried on so many BEAUTIFUL dresses and got to share them with my mom and future mother-in-law.
Amanda could immediately pick up on which dresses were more of my style and brought out a different dress that was almost exactly what I wanted. I was so appreciative of her ability to notice and narrow things down from what I liked and what I loved. I didn't make a decision on that trip because I was so overwhelmed by how many amazing options there were. But I made a follow up appointment with her and had two dresses in mind.
On my second trip there I told her what I wanted and I tried my fave dresses on again. I wanted to see if it was possible to take the neckline of one and basically put it on the gown of the other and it seemed like we could maybe make that work but then she remembered she had just gotten a brand new dress that day that might work for what I wanted. I tried it on and loved it. I couldn't believe it. I still ended up doing an alteration to deepen the neckline a little bit more, but it is so stunning. I can't wait to see it when it get there.
All the dresses I tried on were beautiful. It made me wish I could wear wedding dresses for more than one occasion.
TL;DR Amanda of Lorien Bridal is great. She makes magic happen. This is definitely a place for a fun, whimsical, down to earth brides. Beautiful dresses of all styles and so many colors! PS none of these pictures are of the dress I chose.

Lorien had such a diverse collection of dresses it was a dream to shop there. When booking my appointment I had a specific dress I wanted to try on. Amanda went out of her way to ensure she had it in store for my appointment. From start to finish the appointment was fantastic. Amanda provided suggestions and helped me pull some beautiful options to try to ensure I really found The One. The dress she ordered in ended up being the winner and amanda suggested I custom order the length to save me time and money in alternations (much appreciated)! I had a tight deadline to pick up my dress ( I live on the east coast and was flying in just for that) and when Amanda found out it may not arrive in time she worked her magic with the manufacturer to ensure it was there when my flight landed. From start to finish Amanda made finding and picking up my dress an experience, and not just another appointment.

I had such an amazing experience here! The boutique alone is so cute! Each station is themed, I was in the Disney Princess area which was perfect because I am obsessed with all things Disney and also had amazing lighting! They also had a Star Wars section which was crazy because my Fiancé and I LOVE Star Wars! I didn't even know the shop was like this and it made my experience even more amazing! The dresses were so beautiful and had a good range of different styles and most importantly had the dress I had been looking for! Amanda was so amazing and so sweet! She made me feel so special and beautiful and did fun little things that were catered to me! 100000% Recommend going here!
