The cupcakes tasted okay. We came here specifically because we love cupcakes with fillings but unfortunately the ones here were very mediocre. The cakes are small and dry, with very little fillings too. It’s not bad but perhaps not the finest ones I’ve had.

My (now) husband and I tasted SO many cakes around LA for our intimate garden wedding. Only ONE stood though. Lark's decadent coconut cake with cream cheese frosting. Simple but extremely delicious. Now we can revisit our dreamy wedding cake anytime :D

THE WORST CAKE SHOP WE'VE EVER HAD. Jasmine helped us. We asked for a headphone cake designed by a big named client of ours and they literally plopped on a slanted thin headphone that didn't even look close to a headphone let alone ours for $575. This cake was supposed to be for his birthday and since we couldn't use their cake, our client asked his friend to bake him a cake instead at the last minute. We were all SO embarrassed. They won't even give us a partial refund and we completely lost a big client because of this. They accommodated us with extensions which we had appreciated, thinking they'll give us a great cake in the limited time, but literally, it didn't even look anything as close to a normal headphone, let alone ours, and could've gotten it at a normal bakeshop for $100.
THEIR WORK DOES NOT LOOK LIKE THEIR ADVERTISED POSTS ON SOCIAL MEDIA. Please check the pictures I posted on here, the headphones. We had a different cake shop (Cake & Art) we normally go to but after seeing Lark's advertised pictures, our client chose to go with them. If we had known they were not even close to being competent in making a normal headphone design or any sort of design that resembled as their website/ social media, then we would've gone to someone else. And we could've.
DONT GO HERE, I RECOMMEND:
Cake & Art, The Butter End, Delicious Art
We are going to seek all actions against them. We were most upset with them falsely advertising and giving false promises including their poor resolution skills. Accommodating our deadline was barely NOT enough to cover the loss we've had due to Lark Cake Shop. So please, Lark Cake Shop, stop using that excuse to cover your mistake and take responsibility.

Nice people but the 4$ cupcakes are a joke. The frosting is actually pretty good but the cake is dry, hard, and dense--it's like eating dry cornbread.
I would absolutely avoid. Better cupcakes abound.

I got two cupcakes - lemon key lime and a chocolate mousse. The mousse and frosting from the chocolate cupcake were fantastic. The cake itself was too dense, a bit on the hard side, and dry. I did not really enjoy.
The lemon key lime had the same issues with texture and consistency. The flavors weren't very strong so it tasted more like a creamy frosting and a flavorless, dense, dry cake base.
I'm a big cupcake connoisseur having tried most cupcakeries in the LA area. Would not return and would not recommend. I gave it the two stars because I would volunteer to eat a vat of the chocolate frosting. That is all.
I *was initially* excited that the cupcakes were stuffed.. But like the above mentioned issues prevent that fact from being a highlight.
