We had a wonderful experience working with Victoria and Riane at Designs by Ahn to create an elegant, timeless and romantic floral display for our micro wedding. Riane was prompt and responsive and she and her team happily accommodated our short timeline and some last minute changes. As a type A person I was nervous not being able to preview what the flowers would look like, but seeing them on the wedding day they were glorious and exactly what I had described I was looking for. Trust the experts and share photos of the type of look you want and then sit back and relax! My only feedback would have been to do the final review over the phone rather than in their office since it was less of a design session and more of a brief contractual meeting. Nevertheless I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a unique and memorable floral display for your wedding! Thank you for setting the dreamy stage for the most important day of our lives!
Being that I'm a type-A Aquarius, I was SUPER excited to create the romantic and moody fall wedding of my dreams. Without a doubt, Designs By Ahn brought the vision to life. Victoria was incredible to work with, and an enormous support not only in terms of vision, but also in regards to budget. She was honest and solutions oriented. The ceiling of our cocktail hour tent was absolutely stunning, and the table arrangements were breathtaking. I can't wait to get back the rest of our photos to enjoy the intentionality all over again! Check out IG for some more shots! @ash_roth
I could not have asked for more beautiful flowers at our wedding. I provided the DBA team with one picture of my invitation for inspiration and they gave me the dreamiest fall flowers that exceeded my expectations. The flowers were the talk of the night! Riane was wonderful to work with and I am so glad I chose DBA for our wedding. I would absolutely recommend and hope to get to use them again in the future!
By far the worst florist I have dealt with. After ordering from them a couple of times in the past I wanted to surprise my girlfriend with a nice arrangement this past weekend. I chose a delivery window between 12:00-3:00pm. When they didn’t come in that time I contacted the store to see what was going on and spoke with Jay, who was very nice and told me they had a large event in the Hamptons and some orders were not able to be delivered. Mine being one of them. Unfortunately, rather than them reaching out to let me know this - which would have been a much better way of handling the situation, they just decided to not reach out at all and I had to be the one to contact them. Jay apologized and told me that he was not involved with the order, they had dropped the ball and it should not have happened. He then offered to send an extra “special” arrangement on Monday when they got their fresh flowers delivered. Monday came and when I didn’t hear anything by 4:00pm, I once again had to contact them to see what was going on. Again, communication would have been key here. Perhaps a heads up on when they were going to be delivered? Shortly after, my girlfriend was contacted by the delivery person who was very nice and wanted to deliver the flowers but she was not home. So, after all of this and wanting to surprise her; she never got the flowers, I was refunded the money, and it just ended up being a huge disappointment. Not to mention a waste of time. I am a chef and have worked in the service industry with florists for over 35 years. I certainly understand things happen but not communicating what is going on to the customers who are supporting their business is not a good practice. If they had the courtesy to reach out and let me know what happened I would have appreciated that and been ok with a later delivery. And to also have my 200.00 order overlooked because they had a “large event” is totally unacceptable and also not a very good excuse. Don't take orders if you can't handle them. Needless to say I will not be returning again and will take my business elsewhere.
Floral design was a very important aspect to us while we were planning our wedding. We met with several florists before meeting Victoria but once we stepped in to her showroom, we knew we had to work with her. Her designs are modern yet timeless at once and her use of color is incredible. Our venue, Tavern on the Green, already provides a lot of greenery as a backdrop and we really wanted the flowers to make a statement against that. We asked to have flowers hanging from our tent over the dance floor, but didn’t give much direction other than that. When we walked into our reception, we were totally blown away by what her and her team were able to create. On top of all this, their quote was very reasonable and worth every penny. Easily the best floral design team in NYC. Thank you for making our floral dreams come true!
