Long post, but very necessary! The gist is that Patrick and his team are the epitome of complete old school total client focus; this level of service is simply atypical these days. We happened upon BDU in our search for a replacement engagement ring when our appraiser told us that our ring was a lab created diamond; we had asked for conflict free natural stones. After I got over my devastation, we began to search for a reputable jeweler that we could trust. My Fiancé was still vexed and I literally had to spend great time convincing him to give BDU a try. We were mentally drained, but we needed a new ring. Patrick was responsive to my numerous messages; honest and transparent. They even offered to hold the ring of our choice until we had received our refund. There was no sense of pressure to purchase, just good old fashion customer service and the commitment to our happiness with our selection. We purchased our ring last Sunday, it was sized on Monday, shipped on Tuesday and we received it on Wednesday. I hardly slept on Tuesday night as I was again fearful of being disappointed. I opened the box to ensure the ring was in it and left the package for my Fiancé . When he arrived, he opened the package and was immediately impressed with all of enclosed documentation including a pamphlet for the very same insurance company that we were going to use for our first ring; we'd found them on our own. He opened the ring box and just stared with a huge grin on his face. He kept asking me as he place the ring on my finger if I was happy? I was, but I still needed to be assured of the stones. Yesterday, I took the ring to be tested at Shreve, Crump, & Low in our Boston neighbourhood and the same Jeweler smile widely when she told me that they were natural stones. I burst into tears when I called to tell my Fiancé to shared the news and I am indeed HAPPY. "The ring" became "our ring!' Patrick, there are not enough words to encapsulate how grateful we are to you and your team for making this a great experience. For being honest and for your commitment to our happiness. Came here on a recommendation from a friend who said they were the best in the business. They were nice and wanted to know what I was looking for. I gave them a list of diamonds I wanted to purchase. They said no problem and would let me know the status when I could purchase. It has been over 2 months now and still no communication from them and no responses to my many attempts. I have no problem waiting, just communicate. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else. Seems they only want to sell you what they have in stock. Update: So it takes a year for them to reply and all they can do is write a distasteful reply out of desperation. Sad.
